How do you do to give a unique name to a new document? Probably, if this represents a simple number, you have a table somewhere and you write down the number and a small description. But if someone comes and says that from now on the names have to follow some rules to take into consideration the department, date …. The problem becomes complicated and the number of tables starts to grow.

How many times did you hesitate to start a new document just because you didn’t know what unique name to give?

“Is it possible that I have another document with this number? Is it clear enough? Is it not too long? ….

And after all what does "FC09030900007" mean? Well simple…. Just add a small description to each generated name.

And what if you want a list of the document names for a specific department? Do you take the register, start looking up and copy every page in an excel?
